The menu is rewritten the day the produce arrives, so these change often. Here's what's coming out of the kitchen this week.

How It Started

It began as a supper club in a backyard.

Fernrow started when chef Nora Bellamy began cooking dinners in her backyard with whatever the farmers down the road had picked that morning. Word spread. Six years later the backyard became a forty-seat room — but the rule hasn't changed: the menu is written the day the produce arrives.

We still drive out to the same farms every week. What's ripe decides what you eat. It means no two visits are quite the same, and nothing on your plate travelled further than it had to.

Grown Down the Road

The farms behind the menu.

We build the menu around a named list of local growers — not a distributor. These are a few of the people who make Fernrow possible.

Hollow Creek Farm

Heirloom vegetables & greens, 12 miles east

Marrow & Field

Pasture-raised chicken & eggs, Willamette Valley

Ridgeline Orchard

Stone fruit, apples & pears, foothills

Kind Words

What guests are saying.

The best meal we've had in Portland, full stop. Every plate tasted like it was picked that morning — because it was.

We came for a birthday and left planning our next three visits. Warm, unfussy, and genuinely delicious.

You can taste how close the food travelled. Fernrow has quietly become our favorite night out.
